NEW eyes for the needy
Optical Shop of Westport conducts eyeglass drives in NOVEMBER ONLY. We donate eyeglasses we collect to New Eyes for the Needy, a not-for-profit organization that distributes eyeglasses free of charge to hospitals, clinics, and medical missions throughout the world. New Eyes for the Needy analyzes the prescriptions, labels them and then sends them all over the world through medical missions to fill optical prescriptions.
In over 60 years New Eyes for the Needy has distributed over 4 million pairs of eyeglasses.

East meets Westport with the magnificent Asian accessory collection we feature benefits more than the lucky wearer. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to China Care Foundation, Inc. China Care is a nonprofit organization that gives special needs Chinese orphans the opportunity for a better life and empowers youth through direct humanitarian service. The accessory collection includes handbags from Vietnam, jewelry from China, eyeglass holders from Hong Kong and hand-woven boxes from Bali.

Proud sponsor of Fido Fixers! Fido Fixers Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation that provides either no cost or low-cost spay and neuter services for dogs and cats in economically distressed areas. Fido Fixers Inc. will accomplish this mission by purchasing and making available a surgical mobile veterinary clinic.

Proud sponsor of Pink Aid! Pink Aid’s mission is to help underserved local women survive breast cancer treatment with support and dignity, to provide screening to women in financial need, and to empower breast cancer survivors to heal by helping and inspiring others.
Pink Aid’s grant support program provides services including free breast cancer screening and help covering non-medical expenses such as food cards, household bills, wigs, recovery garments and transportation for patients undergoing treatment.

Kids in Crisis is Connecticut’s ONLY free, round-the-clock agency providing emergency shelter, crisis counseling and community educational programs for children of all ages and families dealing with a wide range of crises, including domestic violence, mental health and family problems, substance abuse, economic difficulties and more.
Over 100,000 families and children have been helped by Kids in Crisis through crisis counseling services, temporary shelter and prevention programs provided throughout the area.
